Annotation

The article describes the components, criteria, degrees, positive and negative factors that affect the professional growth of a teacher. The purpose of the article is to identify and describe the components of a teacher’s professional growth in the system of Russian education. The article defines the professional growth of a teacher and lists its components. Based on the analysis of the works of Russian and foreign researchers, a detailed description of the components of the teacher’s professional growth in the system of Russian education is given. The article uses such research methods as the study and theoretical analysis of scientific literature, generalization and analysis of pedagogical experience. The methodological basis of the research is a system-activity approach to the analysis of the teacher’s professional growth. The structure of the teacher’s professional growth proposed by the author provides the possibility of designing his professional longevity in the system of Russian education.
