Teaching children of primary school age Russian as a non-native language: on the problem of forming the professional readiness of future primary school teachers to work in modern realities of educational practice

Annotation

The article focuses on the actual problem of organizing the educational process in a polycultural environment, considers a set of necessary conditions for teaching Russian as a second language to foreign children and bilingual children in an educational organization. The authors emphasize the need to update approaches to the theoretical and practical training of future teachers at the level of secondary vocational education in the context of the organization of the educational process, when training and education is conducted in a single Russian language for every student, which is not native for a number of students. Purpose. The main purpose of the article is to share experience of training future primary school teachers at the level of secondary vocational education through the development of elective academic disciplines and interdisciplinary courses, elective courses, including thematic areas of teaching Russian as a second language in programs of primary general education. Methodology and methods. The methodological basis of the article is the works of O. M. Pilyugina, E. P. Yarovaya, T. V. Samsonova, L. P. Yuzdova. Methods: retrospective analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature; system-functional analysis of pedagogical experience in organizing the process of teaching interdisciplinary courses and courses of students’ choice, modeling the practical professional training of future teachers. The main results of the study. The semantic content of the trajectory of the formation of professional and personal readiness of future teachers in the conditions of theoretical and practical training, including, among other things, the solution of the actual problem of organizing the educational process for children of primary school age, for whom Russian is not their native language, is revealed. Scientific novelty. The essence of the content characteristics of the formation of general and professional competencies of future teachers in the context of the formation of personal and professional readiness for the organization of the educational process for primary school students in a polycultural environment, the formation of speech skills of foreign and bilingual children is specified. Practical relevance. The presented approach to the design of interdisciplinary courses, elective courses for future teachers in the course of organizing theoretical and practical training at the level of secondary vocational education served as the basis for organizing the educational process, including for purposefully organized monitoring of the formation of the readiness of mid-level specialists to carry out professional activities in conditions a polycultural environment for organizing communication and interaction, as well as for achieving the planned results for foreign children and bilingual children.
