Annotation
The article considers the main directions and mechanisms of regional identity formation in the professional educational organization taking into account the principle of national education by K. D. Ushinsky. The article reveals an algorithm for solving urgent problems of children and youth education by means of local history activities. The article describes the measures which realization allows providing the formation of the regional identity as local patriotism. The conditions, means, ways and planned results of regional identity formation of students of secondary vocational education through ethnographic expeditions, festivals, project and other activities are presented.
The purpose of the article: to present the conditions and mechanisms for the formation of regional identity in the patriotic education, to show the relevance of the idea of national education by K. D. Ushinsky for the system of modern education. Methodology and methods: comparative analysis of sources, personal-activity approach
in the education of students. The main results of the study. The content of the events aimed at the formation of the regional identity of students in the secondary vocational education and allowing to reveal the features of the implementation of the principle of national education is presented. Scientific novelty. The principle of national education by K. D. Ushinsky is implemented in the formation of the regional identity of students of secondary vocational education. Practical relevance. The main provisions of the principle of national education by K. D. Ushinsky can be used in the formation of regional identity in the patriotic education of children and youth through ethnographic expeditions, festivals, project activities and other local history events
