Criteria-based assessment methods in the system of secondary vocational education

Annotation

In order to provide advanced training of qualified personnel in the system of secondary vocational education, taking into account the constantly changing requirements of the labor market, it is essential to use modern methods both in the learning process and in the assessment of students’ knowledge, skills and competencies. The article provides a comparative analysis of traditional and criteria-based assessment methods leading to the conclusion that there is a need for the widespread implementation of more effective assessment procedures that contribute not only to improving the quality of educational assignments and practice-oriented work, but also to the development of professional qualities of the future specialist. The purpose of the article is to show that criteria-based assessment methods are a tool for adjusting the educational process of the secondary vocational education system to advanced practice-oriented training of effective personnel that meet modern labor market requirements. Methods: analysis, comparison, generalization. The scientific novelty of the work lies in establishing the positive influence of criteria-based methods for assessing all types of academic work and extracurricular activities of students in the secondary vocational education system on the formation of universal, professional competencies and personal characteristics of future specialists who are able to adapt to new technologies, changes in the production environment. The main results of the study demonstrate the advantages of criteria-based assessment procedures at all stages of mastering the work program in the secondary vocational education system. Their wide application by other educational organizations in the secondary vocational education system, based on the experience of the Moscow College of Creative Industries named after L. B. Krasin, will increase the success in training of qualified and professionally for the country’s economy.
