Methodology of construction of a training class on modern dance in the system of secondary professional education

Annotation

The article presents the basic techniques of modern dance choreographers. It also offers methodological approaches and tools for teaching modern dance to students. The article defines the concepts of modern dance in the system of secondary vocational education (SVE), which form the professional literacy of students-choreographers in the field of modern dance. It applies a comparative scientific analysis of the methods of Dr. Vadim Yurievich Nikitin and Albert Valentinovich Verkholyak in the field of modern dance. The article presents research on the problem of forming professional literacy of students in modern choreography. The article uses the «Combination» section as an example to clarify and modernize the system of professional training for future modern dance teachers in SVE. The results of research on the methodology of building a modern training session in SVE have been identified. The purpose of the article: to systematize the methodology of conducting a modern dance class and to solve the problem of professional literacy among students in the disciplines of «Professional training: modern dance» and «Modern dance». The methodology and methods: the research method is applied to the section of the lesson «Combination» and the author’s use of combinations in the style of modern jazz inpractical classes with students in contemporary dance is proposed. The main results of the study: the author addresses the problem of developing students’ professional literacy in contemporary choreography through theoretical aspects of contemporary dance terminology; introduces the terminology of contemporary dance concepts into laboratory and practical classes; and presents the results of a methodology for constructing a contemporary dance lesson in the secondary vocational education system in accordance with the purpose and problem of the article. The scientific novelty: the sections of the training session are considered, the concept of Vadim Yurievich Nikitin’s training session on modern dance is studied, the research method is applied to the «Combination» section of the training session, and a comparative scientific analysis of Nikitin’s concept is conducted. The results of structuring the modern dance training session are obtained, the system of conducting the «Combination» section of the training session is refined and modernized, the main concepts of modern dance are formulated, and an algorithm for teaching students exercises in the disciplines of «Professional training: modern dance» and «Modern dance» is presented. Practical significance. The pragmatic value of the study lies in the practical application of the study’s sections by students, their ability to structure and conduct lessons effectively, and their understanding of the fundamental professional competencies of a choreographer who knows how to build a modern dance class and apply these skills in practice. The significance of teaching young people about healthy living. The development of recommendations for professionals and the improvement of existing teaching processes provide a clear understanding of the systematic and consistent approach to teaching, allowing students to create their own lesson structures and express their individuality.
